News Release
ST. PAUL, MN – Today, Minnesota Management and Budget released the February budget forecast, indicating a $9.5 billion surplus. This is more than the December forecast of $7.7 billion.
Representative John Heinrich (R-Anoka) issued this statement regarding the report.
“It is clear —Minnesotans have been overtaxed far too much and for far too long. Minnesotans need relief now. Taxpayers have been the victim of astronomical prices thanks to inflation. The government is sitting on a whopping $9 billion while communities suffer. We need permanent, meaningful relief for all individuals and families across Minnesota,” Heinrich said.
