RELEASE: Heinrich Sworn-in as State Representative

ST. PAUL, MN— John Heinrich (R-Anoka) was officially sworn-in as a state representative on Tuesday, January 8, after taking the oath of office during a swearing-in ceremony at the Capitol. Heinrich will represent District 35A – encompassing the cities of Anoka and Ramsey – in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

Heinrich, who was elected for the first time in November, will serve on the Transportation Finance & Policy Division, Veterans and Military Affairs Finance & Policy Division, and Government Operations Committee.

Serving as our community’s voice in the legislature is an incredible honor,” said Heinrich. “The legislative session ahead is a great opportunity to improve our state and I am eager to begin representing our community’s shared priorities. I look forward to getting to work in my committees right away, and intend to push for local transportation improvements and advocate on behalf of our state’s veterans.

In addition, on Saturday, January 19, Rep. Heinrich will be hosting a listening session/town hall meeting at the Anoka County Historical Center from 10:15am-11:30am. All are invited to come by at any time during the event to meet Heinrich, ask questions and offer input on legislative matters, and learn more about Heinrich’s priorities for the legislative session ahead. The meeting will be held in the Philotectian Room in the old Anoka City Library building at 2135 3rd Ave N Anoka, MN 55303.
