St. Paul, MN -- Today, Governor Walz issued Executive Order 20-20 directing Minnesotans to stay at home and to limit movements outside of their home to essential needs only. This order takes effect at 11:59 pm on Friday, March 27 and ends at 5:00 pm on Friday, April 10.
Representative Kelly Morrison (DFL-Deephaven) is a practicing physician who has been advocating measures that help ‘flatten the curve’ to delay further spread of the COVID-19 virus. She released the following statement:
“I am grateful to Governor Walz for his steadfast leadership during these challenging times. He is doing the right thing and his actions will help save lives. This executive order will slow the spread of the virus and allow our healthcare system to best prepare. As we adjust to this new--but temporary—normal, bold steps like these ensure that we are doing all we can to protect Minnesotans’ health and well-being.”
