Dear Neighbors,
I hope you had an excellent weekend!
With our record snowfall and warming temperatures, flood watches are popping up across the state. If you’re considering protection methods from anticipated floods, you can find helpful insurance tips from the Minnesota Department of Commerce here.
Here’s an update from the Capitol:
Spring Park Infrastructure Improvement
This week, I’ll be presenting a public works bill to fund infrastructure upgrades to the Spring Park’s city water and sewer system. This vital investment will benefit our community by improving and enhancing water quality for residents.
‘Prescription Drug Price Transparency Act’ Update
The bipartisan bill I’ve been working on has cleared another hurdle. It’s receiving its third public hearing in front of the Judiciary and Civil Law Committee.
Additional Bills to Receive Public Hearings
HF 440 requires insurance companies to cover more advanced types of breast cancer screening procedures.
HF 1888 expands eligibility for children with complex mental health issues to psychiatric residential treatment facilities.
HF 1281 establishes more provider services within behavioral health home services.
HF 1079 invests in grassland easements to improve water quality.
Equal Rights Amendment Passes House
Last week, the House of Representatives approved the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) ballot question to let Minnesotans decide whether or not to give everyone full equality under our Constitution. It was a powerful day and I was pleased to support this important measure. |

Constituent Spotlight
Rep. Laurie Pryor and I were honored to host Boy Scout Troop 345 at the Capitol over the weekend. What a great group of scouts and parents! |
