St. Paul, MN - This session, State Representative Dan Wolgamott (DFL - St. Cloud) will serve as Speaker Pro Tempore of the Minnesota House. In the absence of the Speaker, the Speaker Pro Tempore takes on the duties of managing the House Floor and ruling on legislative debate.
“I am honored to announce that I have been appointed Speaker Pro Tempore of the Minnesota House of Representatives,” said Rep. Wolgamott. “I am prepared to execute the duties of presiding officer, with fairness to my 133 colleagues, in service to the 5.7 million Minnesotans we represent.”
In addition to this leadership role, Rep. Wolgamott will also serve as Vice Chair of the House Higher Education committee, along with his place on the House’s Labor and Industry, Rules and Administration, and Capital Investment committees.
