St. Cloud, MN - Yesterday, State Representative Dan Wolgamott (DFL - St. Cloud) and the College of Education and Learning Design at St. Cloud State University hosted the House Capital Investment Committee during their 2021 Bonding Tour.
The committee is touring sites for proposed capital investment throughout the state. The proposed project put forward by the college included a new Education and Learning Design Complex, as well as additional asset preservation requests for the university.
“I’m excited to author legislation that would secure $4.5 million dollars to begin the renovation, demolition, and construction of St. Cloud State’s Education building, Early Learning Center, and Lab School,” Rep. Wolgamott said. “This project will benefit 1200 students and serve over 500 children and families per year. I am eager for the work ahead to get this legislation over the finish line and ensure that St. Cloud is a leader in education for years to come.”
The St. Cloud stop was one of the first this year as part of the committee’s northwest tour. Other communities in the state will be visited in the coming weeks.
