Rep. Dan Wolgamott Announces March 1 Hearing in St. Cloud on Early Childhood, Economic Development Issues

Wednesday, February 27, 2019

Rep. Dan Wolgamott today announced a new public hearing taking place in St. Cloud on March 1 from 1-2:30 p.m. at the Great River Regional Library.

The intent of this “field hearing” is for legislators to travel outside the Capitol and into Minnesota communities to listen directly to people talk about their hopes, dreams, and challenges. The March 1 event is a joint meeting of the Early Childhood Finance and Policy Division and the Jobs and Economic Development Finance Division, the first-ever joint meeting of its kind.

“My family has two working parents and two kids. We are constantly balancing work and family needs – and I hear many similar stories from constituents about challenges as it relates to child care and job opportunities,” said Rep. Wolgamott. “Following last week’s field hearing on transportation priorities like my plan to finish Northstar, I am proud to invite my neighbors and members of my community to participate in a new field hearing for the second week in a row for a friendly discussion about early childhood and economic development issues.”

Members of the public are invited to attend and participate. Questions about this event can be directed to Travis Reese, Committee Administrator for the Jobs and Economic Development Finance Division. Call 651-296-7175 or email travis.reese@house.mn.

Members of the press should contact Kaia Lund at 651-296-5812 or kaia.lund@house.mn to RSVP as a courtesy if possible (to better facilitate and plan for media-related needs and accommodations).
