First Week of Session

Friday, January 11, 2019

Friends,

I'm grateful to return to the legislature and continue serving the people of Chisago County. I'm looking forward to working with my colleagues on ways to make health care more affordable, return the surplus taxes collected to the taxpayers, and focus on the shared priorities of all Minnesotans.

I was also honored to be chosen as the Deputy Republican Leader and this biennium will serve on the Environment and Natural Resources Finance Division, Health and Human Services Policy, Rules and Legislative Administration, and Subcommittee on Elections.

The reality is House Republicans are leaving our state in a strong position, and Democrats would be well-served to follow our blueprint. Over the past four years, the House Republican Majority reduced taxes for families, lowered health care costs, saved the individual health insurance market, and made major investments in our road and bridge infrastructure. As a result, our state has a healthy $1.5 billion surplus, and unemployment rates have fallen to near-record lows—we're proud of our record over the past four years, and will continue to fight for these priorities in 2019.

As the session continues, please feel free to contact me with any questions or thoughts that you have on any matter of state government.  Your input helps me to best represent our community, and I appreciate you taking the time to reach out. You can reach me by phone at 651-296-5377  or by email at rep.anne.neu@house.mn. My office is located on the second floor of the State Office Building in room 261. Mail can be sent to:
