Rep. Sauke responds to Gov. Dayton’s final State of the State

St. Paul, Minn. – After Gov. Dayton gave his eighth and final State of the State address to a joint session of the Minnesota House of Representatives and the Minnesota Senate Wednesday, Rep. Duane Sauke, DFL-Rochester, issued the following statement:

“For the last seven years, Gov. Dayton has been a leader of integrity and purpose. The state is more fiscally secure and investments in the people of Minnesota have paid dividends. From long-term planning for transportation and transit solutions to addressing the cost of higher education and student debt, we have plenty of work to do.  I appreciate his steadfast desire to help the state live out its goal to be humane to those who are challenged by health and economic deficiencies in society’s systems.  We know there is great need to do better.

“As Gov. Dayton finishes the final year of his second term, I look forward to working with him to continue his legacy of responsible governance and to keep fighting to make Minnesota a state that works for all of us.”
