ST. PAUL – Friday, State Senator David Tomassoni (I – Chisholm) announced his intention to not seek re-election this fall.
State Rep. Julie Sandstede (DFL – Hibbing) released the following statement:
“For three decades, David has been an unmatched voice for our region, tirelessly working to create opportunities for workers, families, students, and businesses to prosper. Every day, he’s exemplified what it means to be a true public servant, with an unwavering commitment to being responsive to the needs of constituents in a region where we’ve experienced tremendous ups and downs over the years.
“I’m so grateful for all he has done for the Iron Range. While we know this will be a big loss for all of us at the Capitol, I especially want to share my warmest wishes as he continues his courageous battle with ALS.”
