Rep. Lee

Dear Neighbors,

We’re still in the process of negotiating our budget for Minnesota, with the anticipated goal of passing the complete bipartisan package during a June special session. Every budget year proposes its own unique challenges, but more so this year, considering this will be the budget meant to help Minnesota not only bounce back from the COVID-19 pandemic, but ensure that the recovery is equally felt throughout the state.

Besides the financial investments, other crucial proposals being discussed right now are new public safety reforms and police accountability measures. This week, as we reflect on the anniversary of the murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer, it’s imperative that any bipartisan agreement for a June special session must also include the measures we’ve been fighting for in the House that will help make Minnesota a more equitable and just state.

Vaccines Available

Minnesotans can now use the Vaccine Connector to directly schedule COVID-19 vaccine appointments at the state’s Community Vaccination Program locations. You can visit VaccineConnector.mn.gov to directly schedule appointments at Community Vaccination locations around the state. Here is how you can get your shot:

Memorial Day

I hope you and your loved ones have a safe and reflective Memorial Day Weekend this year. The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs is again partnering with TPT to create a 30-minute Memorial Day program entitled “Reflections: Memorial Day 2021” that will be broadcast across the state on TPT’s Minnesota Channel at 8 p.m. on Monday, May 31 and again on Sunday, June 6 at 8 a.m. A link will also be available on their website to view the program online any time.

Memorial Day 2021

If you have any questions about our work ahead of the June special session, please feel free to reach out. As always, you can contact me at 651-296-4262 or email at rep.fue.lee@house.mn. I look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,
