Make sure you're covered!

Thursday, November 7, 2019

Rep. Lee

Neighbors,

Open enrollment (which ends on Dec. 23) is your chance to change health care plans or enroll in a new plan that's best for you and your family.

The MNsure marketplace is the only place where you can qualify for financial help in the form of monthly tax credits. Their certified assisters offer free, in-person help, the ability to compare plans side-by-side, and all plans cover pre-existing conditions so you can be sure you get the coverage you need.

Go to MNsure.org to compare plans and get covered!

A Plan to Address Youth Vaping

For the first time in over 17 years, the number of young Minnesotans using tobacco products has increased. The rise in popularity of vaping has given way to an increased amount of vaping-related illnesses, and we plan to address this issue next session. You can read more about the issue and our new proposal to address it here.

Probation Terms

Yesterday, the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines Commission voted to advance a five year cap on probation terms. Probation terms for the same crime vary widely across the state, and many Minnesotans are still receiving 20, 30, and even 40 year probation terms. You can read the statement my POCI colleagues and I put out celebrating the decision here

Please reach out if you have any questions for me!

Sincerely,

Rep. Fue Lee
