THIS WEEK IN THE LEGISLATURE

EQUAL RIGHTS AMENDMENTS PASSED HOUSE GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS COMMITTEE

I was proud to co-author and help pass two Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) bills as a member of the Government Operations Committee yesterday. One bill proposes a state constitutional amendment to allow Minnesotans the right to voice their opinion on the ERA. It passed our committee and was referred to the Ways and Means Committee. The second proposal is a resolution to the United States Congress to remove the deadline for ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment to the United States Constitution by the states. It will now go to the House Floor.
