RELEASE: Layman Sworn-in as State Representative

ST. PAUL, MN—Rep. Sandy Layman (R-Cohasset) was officially sworn-in for her second term as a state representative on Tuesday, January 8, after taking the oath of office during a swearing-in ceremony at the Capitol. Layman will continue representing District 5B, which includes most of Itasca County, as well as a portion of Cass County.

It is an incredible honor to continue representing our community in St. Paul,” said Layman. “This is an important time for our state, and the legislature will be faced with important decisions regarding tax relief, transportation infrastructure, and healthcare costs. I look forward to hearing your feedback and working with my colleagues to best represent our district and put forth solutions to these issues.

Layman, who was elected to her second term in November, will serve on the Greater Minnesota Jobs and Economic Development Finance Division, Capital Investment Division, Government Operations Committee, and Higher Education Finance & Policy Division.
