Rep. Kunesh-Podein Statement on Gov. Walz’s State of the State Address

St. Paul, MN – Yesterday, Governor Tim Walz delivered his State of the State Address from the Governor’s Residence, adhering to the Stay at Home order during the COVID-19 pandemic. Governor Walz asserted that Minnesota is in a strong position to manage the COVID-19 pandemic. He praised Minnesotans for their efforts in slowing the spread of the disease and called on their continued strength and support for one another. Minnesota State Representative Mary Kunesh-Podein (DFL - New Brighton) released the following statement:

The feeling of ‘we’re in this together’ certainly reverberated through Governor Walz’s address to Minnesota. In a time of uncertainty and distress, it is reassuring to have leadership that is steadfast and upfront. Knowing that we have a governor who is looking at the moment while rebuilding a future gives us the confidence we legislators need to finish this session, ensuring that all Minnesotans will make it through this pandemic.”
