This week is "deadline week" in Saint Paul, meaning committees are even busier than ever giving bills their first hearings this session so the bill can move on in the process. I have multiple bills being heard this week, including my efforts to keep those who have taken a plea deal in a case regarding a sex crime from driving school buses. Will also be presenting my bill to provide funding for the last one-room school in the state, the Angle Inlet school up at the Northwest Angle.

This week I had the opportunity to chat with the Bemidji Pioneer about the 2018 Legislative Session. I, along with other legislators in the area, highlight the importance of the Bemidji Veterans Home project and other key projects for our area. I also spoke about the importance of my push to toughen up the laws regarding criminal sexual conduct and child pornography in Minnesota. See the full Bemidji Pioneer article here.
