RELEASE: Representative Franke Sworn-in as State Representative

SAINT PAUL, MN—Representative Keith Franke, R-St. Paul Park, was officially sworn-in for his first term Tuesday as the legislature began the 2017 session in St. Paul. Legislators took the oath of office administered by Chief Justice of the Minnesota Supreme Court Lorie Gildea in the House Chamber. Franke will represent District 54A which includes portions of Cottage Grove, Newport, South St. Paul, St. Paul Park, and Grey Cloud Island Township.

“After serving as mayor to St. Paul Park, I’m thrilled to be able to help more people as a voice for our area,” said Franke. “As a first-term representative, I welcome any input into ways I can serve my neighbors in 54A.”

Franke, who was elected to his first term this past November, will serve on the Capital Investment, Public Safety and Security Policy and Finance Committees, as well as the Property Tax and Local Government Finance Division and the Veterans Affairs Division.

A small business owner, Franke previously served as mayor of St. Paul Park. He now resides in St. Paul Park with his two children.
