New Laws Effective July 1st

July 1st is the start of the new Fiscal Year and with it we see many new laws coming into effect. You can read a list of some of the new laws in each budget area from nonpartisan House Public Information here.

Sunday Sales: Starting July, 2nd Minnesotans will be able to purchase off sale liquor on Sundays.

State Park, Hunting and Fishing License Fees: Modest increases in fees in order to take care of our State Parks System and address the needs of those who hunt and/or fish.

Bonding: The funds secured for projects like the Rice Street / 694 interchange and short line rail improvements in Hugo will be made available. Projects can finally begin, and more Minnesotans can be put to work on improving our state.

Profile in Women’s Press: “Working Overtime for Minnesota”

The Minnesota Women’s Press recently wrote a profile on me titled “Working Overtime for Minnesota.” The profile goes over what it’s like to be a legislator, attorney, and mom. You can read the article here.

If you live in Roseville, you can also register directly with the city , but make sure to sign up by July 21st.
