SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Tonight, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz delivered his 2020 State of the State address. Due to his “Stay at Home” order as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, he delivered the message via video from the Governor’s Residence.
Rep. Rob Ecklund (DFL – International Falls) issued the following statement:
“Our state is facing challenges we’ve never seen before and since the COVID-19 situation emerged, Governor Walz has set a pragmatic, but hopeful tone for all of us. This is exactly the kind of leadership folks deserve right now and I appreciated hearing his message tonight which highlighted the new reality we’re facing while giving us reasons for optimism. We will continue working with him and his administration to address the medical and economic struggle Minnesotans are experiencing. There are difficult days, weeks, and months ahead of us, but by doing the right things like staying home, we can continue to make progress in battling the pandemic and help our state emerge even stronger.”
