SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Tonight, Governor Tim Walz and legislative leaders reached agreement on an outline for a new two-year state budget.
Rep. Rob Ecklund (DFL – International Falls) issued the following statement:
“I’m pleased that the Governor and legislative leaders were able to reach an agreement tonight. Increasing investments in education and protecting health care for Minnesotans are critically important, and this budget does both. All session long, I’ve worked hard for new investments in broadband, and I’m pleased the budget will have $40 million toward reliable, high-speed internet for families, students, and businesses. In negotiation, there’s always some give and take, but overall this budget moves our state in the right direction.”
