VOGEL TAKES HOUSE OATH

Tuesday, January 3, 2017

ST. PAUL – State Rep. Bob Vogel, R-Elko New Market, performed his second oath of office to serve in the Minnesota House of Representatives Tuesday as the 90th Legislature convened at the Capitol to start the 2017 session.

Vogel recently was named vice chairman for the Ways and Means Committee. He also is serving Civil Law and Data Practices; Job Growth and Energy Affordability Policy and Finance; and State Government Finance this biennium

“After spending months talking with people in our district about the issues, it is nice to begin the session so we can start the legislative process,” Vogel said. “Our top responsibility this session will be to shape a new two-year state budget. As a numbers guy, I really look forward to that project and am pleased my vice chairmanship with Ways and Means will allow me to be at the forefront of that process.”

Vogel said he welcomes input from local citizens throughout the year, particularly during the legislative session. He can be reached by emailing rep.bob.vogel@house.mn, or by calling (651) 296-7065. Vogel also provides periodic email updates and citizens can sign up to receive them at his official state website: www.house.mn/20A.
