RELEASE: Rep. Schultz sworn in for third term to Minn. House

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The 2019 Minnesota Legislative Session convened today and Rep. Jen Schultz (DFL – Duluth) took the oath of office as a member of the Minnesota House to begin her third term.

“Representing the people of Duluth is such a tremendous honor and I’m excited to get to work this session,” Rep. Schultz said. “There are numerous issues I’m eager to tackle, including health care reform that will help all Minnesotans, strengthening workers’ rights, and initiatives to protect our environment. I’m also committed to helping our community by investing in our medical district, our public infrastructure, including roads and sea walls, and affordable housing. I’m motivated to create opportunities and enact policies improving the lives of Minnesotans.”

This session, Rep. Schultz will serve as chair of the House Long Term Care Division, working to strengthen safety at senior care facilities and protect the rights of the older and vulnerable adults who live in them. She will also serve on the Health and Human Services Finance Division, Health and Human Services Policy Committee, Rules and Legislative Administration Committee, and Taxes Committee.
