I hope your summer is treating you well and that you had a fun and safe Independence Day with your family and friends. I’ve enjoyed seeing many of you around the community and look forward to meeting and interacting with more of you in the weeks to come. Below is a quick update with some news and information from St. Paul and around our community.
Pan-O-Prog
Lakeville’s Panorama of Progress is in full swing! Events began on the 4th of July and will run through Sunday. Some highlights this weekend include a waffle breakfast, a car show, a parade, and much more. Pan-O-Prog is a great opportunity to get together with your neighbors and celebrate Lakeville and all our community has to offer. There’s plenty of events for the whole family! New laws taking effect
Although the governor’s vetoes diminished the number of new laws that were enacted this year, a number of new laws that passed during the 2018 session took effect on July 1. Click here for more information on some of these new laws.
City Council Absentee Voting
Absentee voting for the Burnsville City Council primary election is open through August 13. The primary election will be held on Tuesday, August 14, and will narrow the field competing for two open city council seats from six to four candidates.
Absentee voting is available until Monday Aug. 13 at:
Burnsville City Hall
100 Civic Center Parkway
Monday - Friday
8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
City offices will also be open for absentee voting during the following times:

In the Community
Wilderness Inquiry program at Lake Marion in Lakeville. This group of middle school students went canoeing and fishing, tested water quality and had the opportunity to try a handful of other outdoor activities.
