RELEASE: Rep. Jim Nash Appointed to Legislative Taskforce on Child Protection

Tuesday, August 2, 2016

ST. PAUL, MN— Recently, Representative Jim Nash, R-Waconia, was appointed to the Legislative Taskforce on Child Protection. On Wednesday, July 27, Rep. Nash took part in his first meeting of the taskforce since it’s expansion following a 2016 law change allowing more members. The Legislative Taskforce on Child Protection was created in 2015 to oversee reforms made to Minnesota's child protection system and examine additional reforms to help the state’s at-risk children.

“I feel strongly about protecting children and want to bring my personal experience from childhood to this taskforce,” said Nash.

The Legislative Taskforce on Child Protection is a bipartisan group of legislators from both the House and Senate.
