The Abortion Debate in Washington D.C.

The Abortion Debate in Washington D.C.

Earlier this week I was in Washington D.C. as the Supreme Court of the United States heard arguments in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case. In this case, the Supreme Court will determine whether a Mississippi law prohibiting abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy is constitutional.

I went to Washington D.C. to show my support for the Mississippi law and join thousands of pro-life Americans who want to see Roe v. Wade overturned.

While the case was argued before the Supreme Court on Wednesday, we will not know its outcome until roughly June of next year. That’s just the way the Supreme Court works.

The outcome of Dobbs v. Jackson will have major ramifications for the United States of America. In their decision, the justices of the Supreme Court could overturn Roe v. Wade, they could let the Mississippi law stand without overturning Roe v. Wade, or they could strike down the Mississippi law altogether.

After being on the ground in Washington D.C. and hearing the reports from the courtroom, I am optimistic that the Mississippi law will stand. States have a fundamental right to decide what laws govern their land. Additionally, I am cautiously optimistic that Roe v. Wade will be overturned. Nevertheless, I ask that you join me in prayer for our nation, the Supreme Court, and for abortion to be stopped.

Abortion Radicals and Governor Walz

As we work to bring about the end of abortion in America, we must understand what we are up against. The pro-abortion groups who are trying to stop the Mississippi law are radicals. There is no other way to describe them. They want all forms of abortion to be legal in every state, including third trimester and partial-birth abortion. On Wednesday, these radicals took to the steps of the Supreme Court to demonstrate just how much they want to destroy innocent human life.

In the below clip, a pro-abortion crowd celebrates as three women take pills that induce an abortion. This crowd openly cheers as these women participate in an appalling practice that is designed to end an innocent life. WARNING: This clip is graphic and the disdain these women have for the life of a child is deeply disturbing.

The actions of these women are sickening. However, these are the pro-choice forces that exist in America. Furthermore, these abortion radicals are propped up and supported by progressive politicians who advocate for abortion on demand. Our governor is one of these politicians.

Earlier this week, Governor Tim Walz sent out an email where he attacked the Texas and Mississippi laws that restrict abortion. He even attacked me for standing up for the lives of innocent children.

Here is what Governor Walz said:

Republicans across the country have renewed their decades-long assault on abortion rights with a vengeance, including right here in Minnesota.

Earlier this fall, a Republican Minnesota State Representative called Texas's abortion ban ‘great news for America’ and pledged to introduce a similar bill during the upcoming legislative session.”

Governor Walz does this to please the radical abortion groups that support him. He wants you to think that he is a reasonable, measured guy. In reality, Tim Walz is just another politician who supports abortion on demand. That’s because Governor Walz and these radical abortion groups walk hand in hand. Their abortion extremism knows no bounds.

What Tim Walz does not understand is that I am proud to stand up for life, and I believe it is my responsibility to fight against the forces who seek to destroy innocence. In the end, I believe life will prevail.
