REP. MILLER TO BE RECOGNIZED FOR EXCELLENCE BY THE AMERICAN CONSERVATIVE UNION FOUNDATION AT AWARD CEREMONY TONIGHT 9/11/2019

[ST. PAUL, MN, September 11, 2011] The American Conservative Union Foundation will be honoring recipients of the highest scores on its 2019 scorecard at an award ceremony tonight at 8 pm with a reception to follow. The event will be held at the Earle Brown Heritage Center in Brooklyn Park.

Rep. Tim Miller (Republican-Prinsburg) is being honored with scoring 90% on their scorecard, which qualifies him for their top award for “Conservative Excellence.”  He holds an 87% lifetime average from ACUF.

Rep. Miller said, “I am proud to be recognized by a national organization like ACUF for my voting record.  I am doubly proud that they selected one of the amendments I offered, an amendment version of a bill I offered protecting the unborn by banning abortions once a Fetal Heartbeat is detected unless the life of the mother is threatened. Although we did not prevail, we were able to move the conversation forward on respect for human life in a powerful way.

The Conservative Political Action Conference will be hosting an event earlier in the day, from 4-8 before the award ceremony to honor the heroism of 9/11 first responders and citizens around the country.

The NHRC is led by Rep. Steve Drazkowski (Republican-Mazeppa).  It includes Rep. Cal Bahr (Republican-East Bethel), Rep. Tim Miller (Republican-Prinsburg), and Rep. Jeremy Munson (Republican-Lake Crystal).
