LUECK TAKES STATE HOUSE OATH

Tuesday, January 6, 2015

ST. PAUL – Aitkin-area resident and Navy veteran Dale Lueck took the oath of office Tuesday during the convening ceremony of the 89th Minnesota Legislature at the Capitol.

Lueck was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives last November. He represents District 10B, which encompasses Aitkin County and most of rural Crow Wing County. Lueck serves on the agriculture finance, agriculture policy, veteran’s affairs, and mining and outdoor recreation committees in the House. He is vice chairman of the latter.

“The swearing-in ceremony was humbling; it’s a privilege to serve the people of District 10B,” Lueck said. “I’m glad to get to work down here in St. Paul, and look forward to hearing from district residents on the many challenging issues facing us in rural Minnesota.”

The Legislature likely will remain in session until May 18, when the state Constitution requires the Legislature to adjourn. The primary task for 2015 is passing the next two-year state budget, which begins July 1.

“Communication is key, my door is always open.” Lueck said. “Constituent service is my first priority. Please don’t hesitate to contact me by phone, email or in person if I can be of assistance.”

Lueck’s St. Paul office number is (651) 296-2365 and his email address is rep.dale.lueck@house.mn. Lueck encourages District 10B citizens to call ahead and set up an appointment with him if they plan to visit the Capitol.
