Dear Neighbor,
Not much to report this week on the legislative front. Have been busy with community events and lots of farming. July is a fun and busy month here in our area as we work our way through the summer. We had a great 4th of July celebration with many community events across our region and including plenty of community picnics and of course big-time fireworks.
Local celebrations going on this weekend include the Aitkin County Fair, as well as the City of Deerwood’s 150th year anniversary celebration. Nice to see the communities able to get out and enjoy themselves in the public arena after the past two years of COVID restriction and concerns.
Upcoming local events include Garrison Play Days, begins Friday, July 22 – and goes through Sunday, July 24. Aitkin Riverboat Days, which includes the Aitkin All Class Reunion is less than a month away, that event kicks off Thursday August 4 and runs through Sunday August 7.
