Rep. Lueck: 2022 legislative session starts in St. Paul

Monday, January 31, 2022

ST. PAUL – Minnesota’s 2022 legislative session began Monday and Rep. Dale Lueck, R-Aitkin, said it’s good to be back at the Capitol in St. Paul working on this year’s issues facing Minnesota and the citizens of House District 10B.

“While this is not a budget year, and we have a lot of important policy issues to deal with this session, much of the discussion this session will center on how the state’s historic projected surplus of $7.7 billion and growing should be used,” Lueck said. “Do we finally take this opportunity to downsize the tax burden on Minnesotans? Or, do we accept the governor’s plan to spend almost all the surplus on expanded and new permanent government program spending? I am firmly in the camp advocating for extensive tax relief and look forward to these discussions.”

Lueck said he welcomes correspondence throughout the session and encourages District 10B residents to call (651) 296-2365 or email rep.dale.lueck@house.mn to get in touch.
