Legislative update

Friday, December 21, 2018

Dear Neighbor,

Greetings from the Lueck family as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus and welcome the start of a fresh New Year. It’s wonderful time to enjoy the company of friends and loved ones this Christmas.

The next legislative session begins Jan. 8. Preparations continue, including establishing new committee rosters. The complete assignments are not yet posted, but I do want to pass along that I have accepted an appointment to serve as the Republican lead on the newly formed House Environment and Natural Resources Policy Division.

I very much am looking forward to serving on the Environmental and Natural Resources Policy Division and am grateful for the vote of confidence that has been place in me to handle this responsibility.

As a member of the 2017-2018 House Environment and Natural Resources Policy and Finance Committee, I am familiar with the environment/natural resources issues this new committee will work on. Our local economy relies heavily on the abundant natural resources we enjoy here in Aitkin and Crow Wing counties.

The health of our agriculture, forestry, mining and tourism industries are all tied directly to how we manage our natural resources. Policy decisions that will come before this committee will directly impact our part of the Minnesota, I am pleased to be in a position that will allow me to positively influence those outcomes.

Look for more legislative news as we get closer to the new session getting underway. For now please be safe and enjoy this holiday season as we look forward to a New Year.

Sincerely,

Dale
