LUCERO TAKES HOUSE OATH

Wednesday, January 7, 2015

ST. PAUL – Eric Lucero officially is a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives after taking the oath of office Tuesday at the Capitol.

The Republican from Dayton was elected in November to represent District 30B, which encompasses northeast Wright County – Albertville, Hanover, St. Michael, Otsego and the Wright County portion of Dayton. He is serving on four committees: Education Innovation Policy; Public Safety & Crime Prevention; Mining& Outdoor Recreation Policy; and Transportation Policy & Finance.

“The swearing-in ceremony was an extraordinary experience,” Lucero said. “It is quite humbling to stand in our historic Capitol and take the oath to represent the people of our area in the House. I am looking forward to working hard for the people.”

Lucero’s resume includes work as a computer security specialist, small-business owner, college instructor and real estate agent. He also has served as a council member of Dayton.

“I look forward to fighting for equity in education, transportation and economic growth for our state,” Lucero said. “It is important to remain connected with the citizens of District 30B as I take this job and I encourage people to contact me with their thoughts via phone, email or visiting me in person.”

Lucero can be reached by calling (651) 296-1534 or by emailing rep.eric.lucero@house.mn.
