All Lives Matter

"All Lives Matter, including the lives of the unborn," said State Rep. Eric Lucero. "Every single person is created in the image of the Lord, and therefore every single life is precious!"

US SUPREME COURT’S ANTI-LIFE RULING

The US Supreme Court this week struck down a Louisiana law that would have required those performing abortions to have admitting privileges at a nearby hospital. The intent of the Louisiana’s “Unsafe Abortion Protection Act” was to hold abortionists to the same standard as physicians in outpatient surgery settings ensuring continuity of care in the event of complications. The 5-4 ruling is a detriment to the safety of women and certainly to the human lives still in the womb. The Supreme Court’s ruling is a failure to the people of Louisiana, to the people of Minnesota, and to people across our country.

VICTORY FOR RELIGIOUS LIBERTY AND CHOICE IN EDUCATION

The US Supreme Court this week ruled states cannot exclude private religious schools from programs or funding offered to non-religious education institutions. This is a major victory for religious liberty and choice in education. Chief Justice John Roberts wrote, “A State need not subsidize private education. But once a State decides to do so, it cannot disqualify some private schools solely because they are religious.”
