Rep. Eric Lucero (30B) - Legislative Update

Friday, July 24, 2015

Dear Friends,

By now you may have heard about or seen the several undercover videos regarding Planned Parenthood. The allegations Planned Parenthood may be selling body parts of aborted babies shocks the conscience and warrants a thorough investigation.

As a strong pro-life supporter, I was a signer of a letter sent to Gov. Mark Dayton (click here) and a letter sent to Attorney General Lori Swanson urging an investigation into the actions of Planned Parenthood. Additionally, I was a co-author of a letter to the editor printed July 16 in the Star Tribune raising awareness of this issue and calling for an investigation.

Life is precious and respecting and protecting innocent life from conception to natural death is our solemn duty as a society. Our efforts to promote a culture of life is winning as the hearts of more and more people are choosing life. The most recent example in Minnesota is the Born Alive Infants Protection Act passed into law this year. I was coauthor of this law which mandates care be given to babies who survive a botched abortion.

If your schedule allows, please join myself and other for a rally sponsored by Students for Life of America, the Minnesota Family Council, and Pro-Life Action Ministries taking place in front of the mega-Planned Parenthood this coming Tuesday, July 28 from noon to 1 p.m. Organizers are meeting at the corner of Charles and Vandalia in St. Paul. The address for the mega-Planned Parenthood is 671 Vandalia St., St. Paul, MN 55114.

I also encourage you to contact Governor Dayton and Attorney General Lori Swanson via the contact information listed below urging an investigation of Planned Parenthood.

In prayer,
Eric Lucero
