Rep. Koznick Selected For Leadership Program

Wednesday, July 27, 2016

Rep. Koznick became the first House Republican member to take part in the Studio/E leadership course to encourage bipartisanship

LAKEVILLE, MN – On Tuesday, Rep. Jon Koznick, R-Lakeville, was one of two representatives from the Minnesota House to take part in a local leadership course called Studio/E. The year-long course helps leaders from the public and private sectors increase their potential to change the world around them. Koznick is the recipient of the ManyOne scholarship. Rep. Koznick and Rep. John Lesch, DFL-St. Paul, are the first two Minnesota House members to receive a scholarship into the program.

“The ManyOne scholarship allows bipartisan pairs entry into the Studio/E leadership community,” said Studio/E co-creator Nate Garvis. “Studio/E helps leaders explore, launch and navigate new ideas using entrepreneurial competencies. The ManyOne members experience Studio/E in ways that allow them to connect beyond their political labels and learn how to explore Minnesota's challenges in new ways in order to deliver new value to the state's citizens.”

According to Studio/E, the program is “The brainchild of Twin Cities natives, Nate Garvis and Tom Wiese, in partnership with the James J. Hill Reference Library, Studio/E was created to help influencers (individual and institutional) realize the great potential and possibility in our constantly and dramatically changing world.”

“I’m grateful for the opportunity to grow as a person, and as a leader for my community,” said Koznick. “Thank you to Studio/E for the opportunity; I look forward to using what I’ve learned in Lakeville and at the Capitol in St. Paul.”

Located at the James J. Hill Reference Library, Studio/E is taught in cohorts of “influencers, artists, leaders, dreamers, believes, creators…spanning the communities of independent venturers, heads of non-profits, leaders of health care, stewards of arts organizations, artists and business executives.”

The cohort beginning on July 26 is Studio/E’s 17th such group to take part in the program.
