Considine announces support for Gov. Dayton’s budget proposal
St. Paul, Minn. – Gov. Mark Dayton released his budget proposal for the upcoming biennium Tuesday morning. Rep. Jack Considine (DFL – Mankato) issued the following statement in response:
“Over the past six years, our economy has gone from a major deficit to a healthy surplus. Not everyone has felt these benefits and some hardworking Minnesotans are still struggling to feed their families,” said Considine. “We must not rest until we have done everything in our power to extend the positive power of our economy to everyone. The roadmap Gov. Dayton laid out today is a quality step toward making that happen.
“It is too easy to be caught up in the contentious political atmosphere. I encourage all my colleagues in St. Paul to join me in making decisions based on what is best for Minnesota and leave partisan politics at the door.”
