Friends and neighbors,
It’s been the honor of my life to represent my hometown in the Minnesota House of Representatives. I’m proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish: tax cuts for middle-class Minnesotans, investments in education and our roads & bridges, and ending the damaging LIFO (last in, first out) policy for teachers. I’m most proud of bringing a desperately needed mental health crisis center right here in Savage.
I’m not leaving the public service arena, but I am excited to have more time to spend reading books to my son, Tommy. Our country has deep, damaging political divisions. Many politicians have resorted to mean and hateful rhetoric designed to stoke those divisions. That’s sad, it’s wrong, and it’s not the spirit of America. I’ll be doing my part, as a member of this community, to heal our political wounds.
I hope you have a Merry Christmas and get to spend plenty of time with your loved ones.
Thank you, truly, for allowing me the honor to represent you in St. Paul.
God bless,
Drew Christensen
