Can you believe Christmas Day is almost here? I hope you’ve enjoyed the holiday season to date, and just wanted to send you a quick update as the end of the year approaches.
Visit With Kids College After School Program
Colter and I had a wonderful time visiting the Kids College after school program in Albert Lea this week. Kids College is an arts enrichment program that meets after school for three days a week during the school year as well as in the summer.
I love visiting and seeing the big smiles on the kids’ faces as they show me their creative work, ranging from painting and beadwork to creative writing. It’s such a great enrichment program.
I shared some storybooks that I’ve written about Colter with the students, as well as talked a little bit about my job as a state representative. Colter shared his love for the kids with tail wags and big doggie kisses which, of course, they loved. Thank you to Susanne Crane and the rest of the Kids College staff for running such an amazing after school program!

There have been so many fun events to attend during this Christmas season. Whether it’s a holiday concert, shopping downtown, looking at Christmas lights or just visiting Santa Claus, there are many things happening in southern Minnesota that will get you in the Christmas spirit, and I’m trying to enjoy as many of them as I can!
Over the next few days I’ll be spending time with family and friends and hope you’ll be able to do the same. On behalf of Colter, Kelchi, and Mingo, I wish you a very merry Christmas and a blessed new year!
