WILLMAR, MN – The Minnesota Department of Human Services is seeking proposals from eligible applicants for grant funding to implement programs that improve accessibility and quality of community-based, outpatient mental health service for adults. The purpose of the grant is to expedite the optimal care for persons with mental illness while freeing up capacity to serve people that truly need hospital level of care.
“These grants are a chance to improve quality of life for Minnesotans with mental illness around the state,” said Rep. Dave Baker, R-Willmar. “Considering the grants are awarded to both metro and rural communities, I hope to see eligible applicants in our area submit proposals.”
Half the grant funds will be awarded to eligible applications in the metro and half will be awarded to applications outside the metro. The proposal request can be viewed in full here.
All proposals must be submitted by 4:00 pm on January 8, 2018.
