Capitol Update from Rep. Tama Theis

Friday, March 8, 2019

Dear Neighbors,

Congratulations to the St. Cloud Cathedral boys’ hockey team for their big wins this week! The Crusaders defeated North Branch 7-0 on Wednesday, and beat East Grand Forks today. Good luck in the final this weekend, Crusaders!

This week I had the privilege of meeting with several constituents here at the Capitol. Carla Luethers, Jackie Pozorski and Bob Faundeen of St. Cloud were here for Housing Day on Monday, the board of the Stearns County Soil and Water Conservation District visited, and Richard Diedrichsen and Michelle Isham were here with the Deaf, DeafBlind & Hard of Hearing Lobby Day! If you happen to be at the Capitol this session, feel free to stop by my office – I’d love to meet with you!

While I normally attend meetings and events in district on Fridays, we are coming up on committee deadlines and I have had committee meetings on Fridays. Once deadlines pass, I hope to get back to the district to meet with more of you on Fridays!

I am introducing a bill today to ban abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected. As a strong supporter of pro-life policies, I am honored to carry this bill and I hope to receive a hearing on it this session.

It’s an honor to be your voice at the Capitol. Have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Tama
