RELEASE: Rep. Sundin statement on start of 2022 Legislative Session

Monday, January 31, 2022

SAINT PAUL, Minn. – The 2022 Minnesota Legislative Session convened Monday at the Minnesota State Capitol. Rep. Mike Sundin (DFL – Esko) issued the following statement:

“Working families, schools, and main street businesses all deserve our support as we work to recover from the challenges we’ve experienced over the last two years. We have the opportunity to support our economic recovery with investments in affordable health care, expanded access to affordable child care, as well as Earned Sick & Safe Time and Paid Family & Medical Leave for Minnesota workers. We also need to come together to deliver premium pay for front line workers, and support both small businesses and workers alike by shoring up the Unemployment Insurance trust fund. I’m also committed to supporting our farmers and rural communities by delivering drought relief, help to lower property taxes, investments in broadband internet, and a robust, bipartisan capital investment bill to fund important public infrastructure projects.”

Rep. Sundin encourages constituents to contact him with input and ideas, or if he can be of assistance. His email address is rep.mike.sundin@house.mn and phone number at the Capitol is 651-296-4308.
