SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Wednesday night in the Minnesota House Chamber, Governor Tim Walz delivered his first State of the State Address.
Rep. Ben Lien (DFL – Moorhead) issued the following statement:
"Governor Walz made a very impassioned speech about his vision for the future of Minnesota. By focusing his speech on health care, education and transportation, and connecting these issues with the stories and challenges Minnesotans face every day, he established his priorities for the session as a way to reach across the entire state and lift up everyone.
"I commend Governor Walz for speaking from his heart, and being personal in his speech. It was his chance to make a first impression on all Minnesotans as governor, and demonstrate that his administration is about the people of this great state."
