ST. PAUL, Minn. – This week, Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan have embarked upon a four-day statewide tour to highlight their historic education proposal. As part of the tour, Governor Walz visited Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Moorhead.
State Representative Ben Lien (DFL – Moorhead) issued the following statement:
"I thank Governor Walz for traveling to Moorhead to hear from area educators, and talk about his proposed budget. His planned investments for early childhood, K-12 and special education will keep Minnesota's schools strong.
"Moorhead takes a lot of pride as an education community, especially higher education. I support Governor Walz's proposal for campus capital needs around our state, and look forward to working with him to lower both higher education costs and student tuition."
