Kresha invites public to child protection task force hearing

ST. PAUL, MN—Rep. Ron Kresha, R-Little Falls, is inviting members of the public to attend Friday's meeting of the Governor's Task Force on Child Protection taking place at The Initiative Foundation in Little Falls. Kresha is the House Republican representative on the Task Force, appointed by Governor Dayton to join representatives from the four legislative caucuses last fall. The Task Force meeting will begin at 11AM and last until 1PM.
 
"The Task Force is looking for input, ideas, and feedback from all parts of Minnesota, and I look forward to welcoming my colleagues to the great city of Little Falls," Kresha said. "I believe it is important that all areas of the State have an opportunity to attend and contribute to the Task Force."
 
The meeting is open to the public, and public testimony will take place near the end of the meeting. Members of the public interested in offering testimony are asked to sign up at the meeting, and are limited to two minutes. Other items on the agenda include a presentation from the Stearns County Screening Team, a presentation by Safe Generations on the Importance of Family Engagement and Child Safety, and an update from the Family Assessment Workgroup.
