St. Paul, MN – Recognizing the need to connect job seekers with job providers, Representative Ron Kresha has written legislation providing $20 million to grant the Minnesota Association of Workforce Boards to fund workforce boards statewide.
“We need to improve our CareerForce locations and get job seekers back to work,” Kresha said. “A quality workforce is what makes up a strong America. I am proud to submit this legislation.”
This funding would target underserved populations and find strategies at local levels to address workforce shortages. This appropriation would be available in fiscal year 2023. More information can be found here.
