As kids return to school and temperatures start to cool off, I want to wish all the best to our community’s students and teachers heading back to school next week.
To everyone stocking up on school supplies, don’t forget to save your receipts! Minnesota has a tax credit and a tax subtraction that can lower the annual cost of qualifying school supplies. Find out more about what qualifies here.
I also want to remind current high school juniors that you can apply to be a High School Page. My daughter was a High School Page during the last legislative session, and I saw firsthand what a valuable program it is. I’d encourage all eligible students to apply! Finally, I want to wish you all a safe and fun Labor Day weekend, and best wishes for the first day of school!
