BRIAN JOHNSON OFFICIALLY SWORN IN AS STATE REPRESENTATIVE

Friday, January 11, 2013

St. Paul – Minnesota’s 88th legislature officially began January 8th with Republican Brian Johnson (HD 32A) joining 133 colleagues in the newly elected House of Representatives.

Johnson will serve on the following committees: Civil Law, Judiciary, Public Safety and Elections.

“I am honored to represent much of Isanti County, including the cities of Cambridge and Isanti, as well as northern portions of Chisago County. I will focus on the priorities of: responsible government – sensible state spending within its means; promotion of jobs – creating an economic environment that encourages businesses to start and stay in Minnesota; and protection of family incomes – allowing families to keep more of what they earn,” Johnson said Tuesday.

Johnson says the communities he represents are why he’s proud to serve. Prior to taking office, Johnson retired from 27 years in law enforcement and public safety, including 17 years as a Deputy with the Isanti County Sheriff’s Department.

“I look forward to serving the citizens of District 32A in a new capacity as state representative,” Johnson said.  “I encourage anyone to contact me if they have questions or concerns.”

Johnson can be reached by phone at (651) 296-4346. He can also be contacted via e-mail at rep.brian.johnson@house.mn, or via U.S. Mail at 233 State Office Building, St. Paul, MN 55155.
