Today marks the end of this year's National Police Week. On Wednesday, we marked Peace Officers Memorial Day, to honor our fallen peace officers. In particular, I want to recognize fallen heroes, Corrections Officer Joe Gomm, Corrections Officer Joseph Parise, and Conservation Officer Eugene Wynn. These officers gave their lives in pursuit of the highest calling – serving and protecting the people.
I also want to recognize Trooper Scott Fredell, who spend his last day in uniform standing guard over those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect the citizens of Minnesota. It was an honor working with him in Isanti County, and a privilege to host him in the House Chamber this week.
As always, please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of assistance to you or your family on a matter of state government. I can be reached by phone at 651-296-4346 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Have a great week.
