ST. PAUL – State Rep. Jerry Hertaus, R-Greenfield, performed his fourth oath of office in the Minnesota House of Representatives Tuesday as the 91st Legislature was sworn in at the Capitol.
Hertaus was re-elected to the House in November and represents District 33A in western Hennepin County, including the cities of Independence, Medina, Maple Plain, St. Bonifacius, Loretto, Wayzata, Minnetrista, Corcoran, Long Lake, Orono and Greenfield. Hertaus recently was selected as the lead Republican on the House Property and Local Tax Division, along with serving Ways and Means, State Government Finance, and the Subcommittee on Local Government.
“Swearing-in day at the Capitol brings with it a sense of gratitude and obligation to do our very best as legislators representing the people of Minnesota,” Hertaus said. “I am honored the people of District 33A placed their confidence in me to continue serving them in St. Paul. The discussions that took place, and input that was received, during the interim months will be helpful to me as we begin a rigorous legislative process for the next several months.”
Hertaus said he welcomes correspondence from citizens in District 33A throughout the session. They are encouraged to contact him by calling (651) 296-9188 or by emailing email@example.com. Hertaus also provides periodic email updates and citizens can sign up to receive them at his official state website: www.house.mn/33A.
