SAINT PAUL, Minn. – Rep. Peter Fischer (DFL – Maplewood) has been appointed to the Environment and Natural Resources Conference Committee. House and Senate legislators who serve on this joint committee will work to reach consensus and craft a final bill to send back to each chamber for a vote.
“Minnesotans want to preserve and enhance our air, water, lands, and wildlife,” said Rep. Fischer. “While we have a divided state legislature, I believe we can find a compromise that protects the environment and our abundant natural resources for current and future generations.”
Conference committees are expected to begin meeting as soon as this week.
