Rep. Green: Time for ballots to be cast in new mail-only voting precincts

Thursday, October 22, 2020

ST. PAUL – State Rep. Steve Green, R-Fosston, encourages area voters who reside in new mail-only voting precincts to make sure they complete and return their ballot or vote in person at their local county election office.

For Green’s District 2B, the impacted townships include Cuba, Lake Park, Savannah, Toad Lake, Two Inlets, Wolf Lake, Badoura, Crow Wing Lake, Nevis, Beaulieu, Island Lake and Twin Lakes, along with the town of Nevis.

“Regardless of whether you are a Republican, Democrat or Independent, it is important to make sure your vote is counted,” Green said. “Public awareness is important due to some changes that are in place this year, especially for precincts that now are exclusively voting by mail. Check with your county auditor if you are unsure about voting procedures in your particular area.”

Residents that live in vote-by-mail only precincts have the option of voting in person at their county election office through Election Day, Nov. 3.
